Replacing Running Rigging

Thinking about replacing the running rigging now because I want to sail during my refit. Is there a reference or formula based on mast hight, boom length and boat length that will allow me to calculate how much of each size rope I will need? Newport 30 masthead rigged sloop with a furling headsail. If you happen to be an authority and want to stop by I'm in St Pete Muni West dock.

Re: Replacing Running Rigging

Haven't looked lately, but West marine used to have a guide in their catalog that would help you out.

Cheers,

Jim

Looks like the running rigging specs are on page 20. Not sure if this model is the same as yours:

Re: Replacing Running Rigging

I thought one just pulled it out with a tracer follower and measured.
