Relocating fridge/compressor, what about freon?

Hi there. We need to relocate our fridge compressor and essentially change the length of the copper tubing which contains the freon. Anyone know what the proper procedure is to replace/elongate the copper tubing when changing it;s location in the boat?

What sort of unit are you working with? Many of the small ones cannot be easily or practically lengthened.

And some manufacturers units, like Sea Frost, can come pre charged with quick-connect connectors.
