Regret to Inform Have Lost my Boat off Honduras...

I departed from Cayman Island and from the next day on I experienced several problems that lead to the need of sea emergency. I called by SSB Radio for help and a ship from Dole company picked up the call and came for salvation. They also tried to motivate Honduras authorities to come 18 NMi to tow me in, but Honduras did deny assistance of any kind. Finally, I was obliged to give up the boat and go on board of the Dole ship, which brought me into Gulfport, MS. This lead to the total loss of my boat Serenity!

Just to inform all of you!

I'd advice against posting anything till the dust settles.

So sorry to hear about losing "Serenity"! Was it an electro-mechanical failure or due to an accident? Looking forward to your reply.

I am so very sorry you have lost your boat but thankful and grateful that you are ok! Boats can be replaced, people can not.
Here's hoping you have some good things coming your way and soon!

It's never good to hear about a lost boat, and it seems even worse when it's a fellow member. Hope you manage to recover your boat (I assume she's still floating, since towing could have been an option) - and after the dust settles and you've got her back, I'd be interested to hear how and why.
