Registration and flag in Sint Maarten

Hello
Does Sint Maarten require a pleasure boat to be registered with them and fly their flag? What if a boat doesn't have the registration tags or name posted on the side and back of the boat?
How would I find the registered owner of the boat?

The rules for registering on French St. Martin are the same as those for France.

Looking for the registered owner of a boat in Sint Maarten. He does not have the name of the boat on the boat itself, no registration tags, or flags. Is that required?

There are no registrations tags in Sint Maarten, but I would think that the boat name and flag country should be displayed. You can get the definitive information from a broker (there are many, I can't recommend a specific one that I've used, so you can search using Google) on the Dutch side or contact the registration authority directly at

What flag does she fly now? (USCG Documented, US State Registered, or some other type of foreign of flagging and/or registry.)

Where and when was she built?

Physical dimensions, weight, other specs, etc.?

I did a deflag from French to a reflagg US for a boat located in Raiatea, French Polynesia that was owned by a company in French, St. Martan. About $400 to $500 as I recall. The only screw up was the French, St. Martan owner did not have a signed copy of the Builders Certificate from Robertson & Cain so that delayed it a couple of weeks. I'm sure the Dutch side would be similar, after all they are civilized people as well, and they allow gambling.
