Reference of international seafarers' salary in China and seafarers' salary in12

Market Review
I. Ocean Line Shipping Staff Payments

The wages have leveled off this month. Many ship owners, including many Chinese, have begun to use foreign crews, which has alleviated the shortage of crews to some extent. Comparatively, this situation is more obvious for the captain, chief engineer, chief officer and so on.

The average captain's salary is about $10,000/month, the chief engineer is usually less than $500/month compared with the captain. The chief office and the second engineer are mostly at an average of $8500/ month, and the qualified captain is likely to be $9,000/month.

The wages of the third engineer, the forth engineer, the second office and third office are relatively stable. The second and third pipes are about $6,000/month on average and about $5,500/month on average. There may be fluctuations. Friends of the crew may refer to them.

The average salary of bosun and chief oilers is about $2800/month, and the average price of ordinary seaman or oiler is $2300/month. The senior seaman or oiler will add $200/month on this basis.

II. Wages of Offshore Shipping Staff

The wages of crew members on offshore crew continued to rise due to the continuous impact of the new year and the epidemic. The actual wages of captains are over 10,000 US dollars/month, and some relatively excellent captains are about 11,000 US dollars/month. Several other positions were roughly the same as last month and grew slightly a year ago.

"Four heads in offshore routes are still scarce as ever, but in recent two months, there has been a small increase in the number of 2O and 3E, mainly due to the alleviation of market demand for part of the shipowners' set-up or mixed-up of foreign crews."

In addition, only CO and CAPT are required for the convenience flag crew individually, and some owners have reduced the 3O positions, as well as some senior crew crew requirements for the convenience flag engine room. Therefore, there is a small increase in the number of the 3E/2O in the short term.

The wages of a good and qualified cook among the average crew are not much different from that of BSN

III. Marine salaries on coastal routes

Similarly, the wages of crew members on coastal routes have also been affected by the Spring Festival and the epidemic this month, showing a steady rise on the whole. Senior crew increased as a whole, while average crew salary remained unchanged from last month.

Captain usually pays 45,000 to 47,000 yuan/month. Some eager ship owners can give 50,000 yuan/month to qualified captains (only a few). The CO and 2E continued to rise steadily this month after their salaries exceeded 40,000 last month.

The average wage for the 2O and 3O is around 33,000 yuan/month. On some ships, the 2O is slightly more than the 3O in order to show the difference in position, but their wages are very similar. Chief Engineer, 2E and 3E wages also continued to rise on the basis of last month.

The average salary of bulk cargo AB is 12000 yuan / month. The sailor's salary varies according to the tonnage of the ship. Generally, the larger the ship, the lower the salary, ranging from 9000 yuan to 100 million yuan / month, which has not changed much compared with the previous month.

The bulk cargo oilers are paid more than seamen because of the supply-demand relationship. As there are more oilers trainers than seamen trainers, the supply of seamen is large and the wages are naturally lower. This is more apparent on ships.

In summary, as more and more foreign crews are assigned and mixed by ship owners, the Chinese crew market on international routes is not optimistic, which may be accompanied by rapid wage growth in the foreign crew market.

The wage growth trend was basically fixed before the year, and most of the crews on international routes had completed the collective shift work done before. Except for temporary pick-up, the adjustment was basically made by the crews individually.
