We're thinking about sailing the
boat up to
Florida next spring and putting her in a boatyard through
hurricane season and to have some
work done.
I did an
internet search for
boatyards in Ft. Lauderdale, and was quickly overwhelmed. We're looking for a yard that can haul a
catamaran and do various
electrical, cosmetic and mechanical
work etc. over a three month
hurricane season. We're looking for someplace close to the
Bahamas, as that's the direction we'll be coming from. So we don't, for example, want to have to sail around to Tampa.
Does anyone have any personal recommendations as far as
boat yards with
storage and travel lifts that do good work?
I bet that's a pretty common question. How bout boat yards to avoid?
