My smartphone needs replacement and now I want one that will stand sailing environment.
I was looking at cat s61 and s62 pro. And the samsung s20 series (which are water proof).
How would those phones handle salt water and corrosion?
Preferably I would avoid a cellphone from Chinese manufacturers.
Partial to the Motorola Power series. Great battery life, standard USB C charging and water-resistant. Should be under $200 USD. Of course, your primary location may be a big deciding factor. This one is "hybrid" dual SIM. Not 100% sure what that means.

Waterproof phone without wireless charging is a fail.
My KYOCERA DuraForce Pro has survived duty as a GPS/phone duty on my motorcycle handlebar in various weather types. Plus in my trunks on my wife's SOT kayak.
External jacks exposed to extended passage use seem to eventually weaken due to corrosion, though it can take years. If only on the water part time or have a smaller use profile, I imagine you will see extended life. Best is a completely sealed unit in my experience.
