Putting My Boat into a Sailing School

I read (or saw an advert) somewhere that some Sailing schols are looking to take boats on in excahnge for them using them for sailing classes. This seems a better option to me than putting it with a charter company. They
take care of the necessary, i.e. mooring, maintenace, etc etc. Any one know of such a company, or anyone had experience of this

Re: Putting My Boat into a Sailing School

I ran a sailing school for a while, not sure I would go that way.

They break a lot of stuff and then hide it, instructors and students

Re: Putting My Boat into a Sailing School

Depends on what type of school it is. I've been to a sailing school for some kicks and the boat was well looked after and wouldn't hesitate to do that with my boat, but it really depends on your operator I guess. Any boat used a lot versus one left in the marina is certainly going to get more wear and tear though; but if it's making money that changes things...
