Providence/Warwick Rhode Island Surveyor

We've found the boat we've been looking for! Still very early in the process, we are just making arrangements to see it for the first time. In emailing back and fourth with the owner, this one feels right. I am looking for recommendations of a really good surveyor. Yes, I've done the internet search, found a few in the area and looked at their websites if they have one. That doesn't tell me if they're any good though. Word of mouth is the best advertisement anyway. I'm hoping there's someone here that can recommend, or at least say stay away from, a couple surveyors in that area.

We're from out of state, so we have no idea at all.

We were very pleased with Jeff Gonsalves when he surveyed the boat we bought several years ago. He was thorough, efficient, friendly, knowledgable, and informative. He looked for things we had little or no idea of, despite our owning a 36' cruiser for more than 20 years. His survey was well-written, concise, and illustrated with photos that he took to show the points he wanted to make. As an example, he found a delaminated air pocket in the rudder that wasn't apparent on its surface and which the previous owner didn't know existed.
