You are making this overly complicated. Most experienced cruising sailors started out just roughing it as one would do while camping out in the woods.
If you've never done things like that, start by getting comfortable with small easy overnight experiences on land before complicating it by over night on a simple small boat. I started at age 12 sleeping on the cockpit sole with a boom tent and an old bed puff while on short over nights on a Beetlecat.
