Over winter close to the Med?

Cheers,

I'm thinking about sailing our boat down towards the Mediterranean before winter, and I would appreciate any tips re where to leave her until spring (in the water, I think). I sent a request to Marina de Lagos (list price 7 k€ for 6 months), but any other suggestions somewhat nearby? And is this the cost I should expect? (The boat is LOA ~16.5 m, beam ~5 m.).

I think you'll find anywhere on the Algarve will be expensive..
If you don't mind N of Lisbon I think you'll find Figuiera da Foz would be half that price, maybe less.
Alternatively I suggest 120nm inside the Med at Almerimar Marina..

Re: Over winter close to the Med?

Places between Algarve and Gibraltar should fit your mission well, I think.

Mind some places have nice towns and airport access there, others ...
