Outboard Engine Corrosion in a Well

I need some opinions on how to live with my outboard in a well. I have a Rob Roy 23 with a 7hp 4 stroke. The tiller is about 6" above the engine hinged seat cover and the engine is 1/2" below that. Ok, so 1. I got engine drag, 2. I got well drag. 3. Cruising I got engine corrosion. 4. Sitting at the dock I got engine corrosion....I have set up a block and tackle for lifting engine while at the dock,..What a hassle! I am thinking of setting the engine on an outboard tilt bracket on the port side way aft. This would require remote controls. What to do....? Thanks, Capt.Fred

Re: Outboard Engine Corrosion in a Well

Might be a bit of a task, but a custom bracket, filling in the hull etc may be the answer. .. and one of those new hi thrust kickers with the controls and power tilt etc!
