OUT OF HURRICANE ZONE, WAITING TO CROSS

So, not hard to understand spending six months in carribean, then spending hurricane season in either Bonaire or Grenada. But what about the first year you purchase your boat on the east coast and you are waiting until November to cross. We may be in New Hampshire right after purchase, but when is it safe to start down the coast, how long does it take, is September usually the worst for the hurricane's or is October equally as bad?

What is the latest you should cross to the Bahamas?

Click the red triangle at the left side of the post, and ask a moderator to do so.
