I'm planning on going to Nova Scotia next summer and will spend some time there. As such, I am contemplating adding a dieselheater on my 37 foot sloop. Will that be necessary or will it be a luxury? (BTW, I'm not against luxury.)
We've used the heat in NS in summer, just to take the chill/damp off. We've probably used the air conditioner more though. Neither is a necessity, but both are pretty high on my list of luxuries to have for long-term cruising. Sure, you don't usually need them. But when you do, it's just so nice to be comfortable after a long spell of unpleasant weather.
