New Orleans Area Surveyor

HI All,

Does anyone know of a good surveyor in the New Orleans area?

I know of a couple of good ones here in Texas but love to avoid the expense to having to pay one to drive/fly to NOLO.

Thanks,
Sam

P.S. Maybe my search skills suck but I wasn't able to find in any past recommendations in the forums. There were a few queries but I saw no responses.

As you've said, it would cost you. Might be able to talk Mike Firestone into having a nice weekend in New Orleans on your $0.05. He only does work he wants to do, now. What size and price boat? If it's a sizeable purchase, I'd pay the price.

Re: New Orleans Area Surveyor

Mike is definitely on the top of my list though I know him by reputation only. I have used another other guy in Houston, Paul Fannin, who saved me for buying a pretty questionable boat several years ago when I started my boat shopping. The broker suggested I would be better off getting someone for Texas as opposed to using anyone local.

The selling price is only $44,000. I would rather not spend 5-10% of the purchase price on the survey if I can help it.
