New member in the boat owners club

Hi Everyone
Finally my dream came trough and I became a proud owner of a Beneteau 411. I spent thousands of hours reading and watching videos about sailing. Wandering around marinas and being a crew on other people’s boat. Thanks for those beautiful people who let me on board! I always loved boats and the sea but I also love the boating community. Super nice and helpful people! It feels really good to belong to this group now.

Fair wind
Peter

Re: New member in the boat owners club

Just this morning my boss was walking around the office with a stack of $20 bills in his hand. I asked what the money was for and he answered "I own a boat."

Welcome to the club.

Hi Peter, congratulations. The 411 is a great boat. I'm sure you will have a lot of fun sailing her.

Re: New member in the boat owners club

Welcome aboard Peter,
I know the feeling. I bought my first boat, a B343 last August and am enjoying my new life.
Fair winds and safe sailing.

Congrats Peter!

I would like to offer one clarification as I believe you will soon discover you have it backwards: You are now owned by a boat...

Cheers! Bill

Congratulations, Peter! What's her name?

(Coincidentally, our 41.1 was just delivered today too, although unlike you, we're under a foot of snow and will have to wait a while to commission her!)

Hi Boatman61
To be honest I don’t really have any list yet. But the first trip will be from Picton NZ to Auckland NZ. Hopefully next week sometime if the weather is good.

Congrats for you too Howler.
Her name is “Alouette”. What is yours? Is she a new boat?
It must be very hard knowing that she is waiting for you but you still need to wait a few more months till the winter goes.

I’m already owned by my (beautiful) wife. So I’m quite used to the feeling [emoji23]
