Neowise Comet, Saturn, the Milky Way

My GOD the sky is beautiful and busy right now.

Way out here in Maine. Very little light pollution.

Stayed up to watch the Neowise comet through binoculars. What an amazing sight.

Looking at moonlight reflecting off the water and look up to see the moon, but no. It’s light from SATURN looking like moonlight on the water.

Then the Milky Way. Its dusty looking cloud from horizon to horizon and all the stars shining brightly on a nice, dry, cool night.

This is it. This is why I’m on a boat. Stunning beauty.

Neowise Comet, Saturn, the Milky Way

My brother has been driving to the Everglades most nights trying to catch the Neowise comet. No luck so far but the sunsets are killer.

I wish I was on the boat...

But yes, the skies are stunning. Went out last night and stared at the Milky Way. Crystal clear night.

One good that has come out of the Covid Apocalypse is that we're not dumping as much garbage into the atmosphere. A temporary reprieve I'm sure, but still nice.
