Ranger06....two more names to consider:

Regard---check all of it's definitions in a dictionary; and...

Ranger---why not?

Travelling the AICW not many years ago we saw an aptly named day cruiser called "Redneck's Wet Dream".

Thanks Ranger, I may just go with Delos anyway. I loved the name before I ever watched SV Delos. Brian didn't even name the boat Delos, that was the name it had when he bought it. I realize that I will probably get a lot of crap for being a "fanboy" while at anchor, even though that would NOT be the case.

It's just such a perfect name. As for VHF, it's short, 5 letters, two syllables, easy to pronounce, easy to spell phonetically,... not offensive, etc...

Sorry to derail, but to get back on topic, I like Loki! It is a cool name, and for the same reasons above, it's short and sweet.

... yes but it also sounds like "low key"...

Picking a good boat name is surprisingly difficult... Ranger06 has some very good names to choose from... if they all have personal meaning, he is doing FAR better than me. Of all the names on the Ranger06's shortlist, I like Loki... It is short, sweet, pronounceable, and, well... Lima, Oscar, Kilo, India.... easy...

From the OP's avatar, handle, and location, I can only assume he/she is military. If that is the case, (only an assumption on my part) then:

@Ranger06:

a). Thank you, VERY much for your service and the sacrifice of your family!
b). Happy Veterans day...
c). Loki is a great boat name, and my pick for you!
d). Thank you for your service!
