Re: Music to Sail by . . .
I haven't read the whole thread, but I doubt anybody has mentioned this song. I was crewing on a delivery of a Cal 39 about 15 years ago, and we were somewhere on the ICW - motoring in a fairly narrow channel with lots of houses and businesses along the banks. The captain (and one of his buddies) heard the opening strains of Mack the Knife (Bobby Darrin) on the radio, so they immediately turned it up full blast and began singing along at the tops of their lungs. People on shore were staring at us - probably more bemused than amused. I think of that (and laugh) every time I hear that song.

Re: Music to Sail by . . .
Let me try that again - Wagner's Ride of the Valkaries - good music to sail in a storm!

Just ran into new (to me) music. Water Water by Ben Keeler and the 500 Club (no connection with the 700 Club)
Water Water | 500 Club

Re: Music to Sail by . . .
I'm beginning to believe that we need playlists for different sailing conditions, and different geographical locations.
Oh, and I happened to hear the Ramones crooning about sedation while in 27 knot winds this weekend.... oh ya, that'll work!
