Well, we're in the middle of
hurricane season and so far so good. But the worst of the season is still ahead. We currently have our
boat at a marina in the
Pensacola area. In the past, we've taken her up the Mobile River and up north to a marina near Tupelo, MS. With the
price of
diesel fuel going through the roof, we were thinking that if a
hurricane looks like it might
head this way, we would go up river but not quite as far.
We also thought of having the
boat hauled, but some boat yards don't want to deal with boats
on the hard if a hurricane is coming. Plus, it would be difficult to
live aboard.
Does anyone in the Pensacola/Mobile area have a favorite hurricane hole or other plans for the hurricane season?
