Miami Boat Show - Excess11

Just went for a couple of hours at our local boat show">Miami Boat show. Just went to the marine stadium section in key biscayne as is walking distance from my boat

I was particularly interested in the Excess11, although I also checked the seawind1160 light and the 1280?

I took lots of pictures on a very hot day of around 85F with 100% humidity

I was very impressed by the Excess11, although the compromise of the steering wheels was not my cup of tea. nevertheless I was surprised on how much field of view you have from that position, and my wife really like the interiors. Lots of room for a 37 ft boat.the access to the Yanmars was very acceptable, and the anchor arrangement was easy to handle.
I had mixed feelings on the cockpit roof which has a retractable soft top which was not easy to open and close. This was hull number 3, so I am sure they will work the kinks out.
As for the pricing, I am including in the pictures what they claim is sail away price of US$455K, 30% down payment and close to $2,000 monthly mortgage.

All other catamarans that I saw had the same type of new furniture material which looks like a glorified IKEA type of material. It will time to get used to this. All vendors promised these were very water resistant. As for the C.E. mandated scape hatches, in this boat they are bolted with a hammer in case of emergency.

Here are some pictures
