I was just curious if anyone can give me some idea of what marina costs are in other places. I am wondering in a somewhat mid range sized city. The reason is i want to compare to costs in my area. I inquired at my local marina and for the seazon is ~2200$.
Any ideas would be well appreciated.
In San Francisco a 40' slip is generally around $360 per month with unmetered electricity. The closer you get to downtown the higher the prices get. San Diego is nearly double for the same size slip.
Are you asking about long term dock rates or just overnight when you're passing through?
East coast US overnight rates in New England are about $3.00/ft per night. Seasonal rates $20-$25/ft per month.
NY, south Florida similar. More rural areas like NC, north FL as low as 1/3 of that.

$250-350 a month in Texas, that is for a 45' slip with metered electric. Most but not all marinas will add another $50 -/+ liveaboard fee. Where I am now is $250 plus $50 liveaboard fee for an end tie.
On the Missouri River about an hour from Sioux Falls, 36' slip, May to October, all electricity and water and free pump-outs and reserved parking, sheltered but not under cover, close to the entry gate, about $2400.
In the Puget SoundUSA area it is from $275 to $600 a month for a 40' Some with added electrical, environmental and/or tax fees. Then a live-aboard fee can be tack onto that.
