Hey there everyone,
I'm currently traveling around in
South America and very interested in doing some cruising while I'm down here.
I'm quite keen on going from
Ecuador or
Panama to the
Galapagos. Also open to any other island hopping which could include
Chile. Mainly sticking to the Pacific side.
I've been doing some
research with little advance on finding a
boat to jump on for a few weeks to a month.
Do you guys have any recommendations on a way to find a
boat to jump on besides just going to random
Marinas? Any databases? Or Airbnb?
I've sailed quite a few thousand miles around the
Caribbean and could hold my own as crew as oppose to just a passenger.
I know no one likes a guy who says he'll just
work for a ride but I'd be willing to do that and also pay for provisions as well. So basically I'd be willing to do both to pull my weight (work and money).
Also looking for some kind of
live aboard with
diving capabilities ( I am a certified PADI recuse diver)
If anyone is doing voyages like this in the next few months I'd be more than happy to check out your vessels. Or if you guys could point me in a direction to find one easily in these southern countries.
Thanks in advance guys and let me know if you need any more information on my side.
Happy new years everyone!
