liability insurance

So we bought a San Juan 7.7 sailboat three years ago and joined a sailing club in Canada. As part of the club rules for the boat to be in the marina we needed to get liability insurance for $2 million. This is still in place on our policy. We are currently in the process of buying a boat in Greece with the intent of overwintering in Crete or Sicily. Again the marinas require an insurance certificate. My question is will the marinas accept our $2 million liability we already have or do we have to have specific marine liability insurance through Pantaentius or similar?

Regardless of whether they accept it or not, you should get dedicated marine liability insurance for your new boat. I suspect your existing policy (which sounds like it's just personal liability and not a policy on the boat itself will not cover a boat in Greece anyway. But I may be wrong.

This is really a question for both your insurer and the marina if your ultimate question is "Does my existing policy cover the new boat, and will the marina accept it?"
