Kotzebue, Brooks Range, Alaska to Chukotskiy Mtns, Russia

First off, I want to say sorry, because I have no idea where to post it, so I put it here, hoping someone would direct me to the right section.

But nonetheless, I am wondering something. Right now I live in Canada, Ontario, Toronto, and in the future, I want to get a boat with a centreboard keel that is roughly 25-30 feet in size, and I plan to sail out from Lake Ontario, our the St.Lawrence River, to the St.Lawrence Gulf, cross all over the coast of Canada, up around the Northern way, to Kotzebue, Alaska. I was thinking that since I was getting a 25-30 ft boat, and I only wanted to do summers on my boat, that sailing over an ocean would put me through unneeded stress, when I could just sail the coast of Canada to Kotzebue. I always want to extend my reach of where I can sail, and I was thinking to myself one day "Well, in my desired boat, in my time restraint, I am pretty much restricted to the Americas, I'd like to sail to Asia, and Europe, yes, but for now, I got very little a choice" Then one day I took a look at my globe and thought "Hey... There is only about 150 miles between Alaska and Russia... And if I branch my way out properly... I could technically go to Asia.

So, I was thinking.

What am I to expect on a primarily Arctic route from the northerns of Canada to Alaska to the north of Russia?

And by what to expect, I mean everything.

Fish variety, how long it'd take me, what the weather would be like, the cliamte- ANYTHING, would be very useful to me, since broadening my reach of sailing in the Canadian summer season is very important to me.
