Just Stopped in to say Hi!!

Today we finished pulling the docks out for the season. It was a beautiful 74 deg fall day in the Black Hills. Every time our season comes to an end I find myself looking out at the lake and wishing I'd never sold Nauticat.... and I also find myself thinking of the friends and "adversaries" made here on CF. I see several of my old pals are now / still mods - and you are all lucky to have them!

The marina is coming back to life, and in our 2nd year this new adventure is doing very well. If I can't be a liveaboard anymore then owning the marina is the next best thing. If we could just accelerate this global warming deal a bit it would be paradise Anyone have Al Gore's number?

Hope everyone is living their particular dream. The new threads tell me that this is still THE BEST place for the real skinny on all things sailing.

Enjoy! If you find yourself in the Hills be sure to stop by and say Hi! Fair winds....

Fair winds to you as well. Glad your adventure is going so well!

Let us know about global warming during the first blizzard in the "hills" this winter!

Hi Mark!

Glad to hear all is going well with the new venture. When the global warming drives us out of the southern waters, please keep a dock available up there for us!

p.s. the Fortress is still looking good, but we have never needed to use it yet.

Mark

I am a neighbor to your south east. Lincoln ne

Our wood docks come out about now.

Concrete and steel stay in all winter.

Hate to see the season end. I have a 32 foot trailerable sailboat and go to Sturgis bike week most years. Any room at your docks?

Hi Gary. I have a waiting list for docks that averages about 25 people. I did install some mooring buoys that we use for our transient guests, so bring the boat with ya next time you head to Sturgis.

Will do - but you'd have to explain to the locals why that thing has two hulls and no livewell...
