I have a contract to purchase a 32' 1990 monohull here in New Hampshire, the boat's value is about $65K.

So far I've been turned down by a few insurance companies because I had a claim filed on my former boat and the claim was submitted less than 3 years ago. That seems to be the standard question they've all asked so far and denied me for.

The claim was for a lightning strike that damaged wiring and the electrical systems. One would think this is not a reason to be denied insurance, but so far it is. Payout was $17K


Does anyone know of an insurance company who might be willing to work with me, or some other way to go about getting insured?
