Hello all!!
I just bought a 1978
Islander Freeport 41 here in Honolulu, HI. I upgraded big time from my last
boat (1989 Capetown
Boatyards Lello 34) and am super excited about this new and HUGE
project.
The new
boats name is “pulelo” and has been around the Hawaiian islands the past 20 or so years.
She is a little rough around the edges but I think with some serious
elbow grease and about 20k in upgrades, she can be back to her beautiful self.
I’m looking for anyone with knowledge and expertise on these
boats. I know there are only a few of them left out of 34 ever built? So much stuff going on on this
boat it’ll make your
head spin.
Eventually looking to outfit her for extended inter-Hawaiian Island travel and then beyond! (Tahiti, line islands,
Cook Islands, etc...)
Any and all help/knowledge would be amazing!!!
