Article explains...
Have You Seen Primadonna? | TownDock.net, Oriental NC
Help a good guy get his money back.
I don't have a dog in this fight except that a good guy got taken advantage of pretty badly.

I hope he gets his money as well. These folks seem to be the types that gives true cruisers a real bad reputation.
Coops.

Seems like just the sort to turn up in the southernmost St Augustine anchorage. Will keep an eye out.

Hopefully he will be able to track them down but they are the floating homeless no doubt and gaining judgment on that boat would probably wind up costing him for disposal, that thing looks like a real mess.

They may be floating homeless as Mike puts it but that's not an excuse for defrauding someone who went out of his way to help them. They are crooked bums. We'll keep an eye out for them.

Sorry, good call. These people give everyone a bad name. They were last seen in Morehead City. Probably heading south.

Small claims court judgements are essentially unenforceable. Even if they are found, there is really no way to make them pay.

Not 100% accurate. If the boat they own is owned free and clear, the plaintiff can file a lean against the vessel (or any asset for that matter) and then seize said asset to settle the debt.
