Re: ICW "Pirates". Have you Seen?
JasonK,
You in fact stated outright in your post that Pat Stockwell scammed the Primadonna first where in fact Pat had not scammed anyone. If anyone is in jeopardy from a libel suit it would appear to be you, not CF. Pat in fact went to court and got a judgment against the owners of Primadonna. CF members have not decided for themselves that Pat was wronged, a court of competent jurisdiction made that determination. The Primadonna, which was "not able" to move for about a year , managed to get underway and skip town as soon as they were served with the court ruling. The victim in this case is a fellow cruiser.
Please let us know the name of your boat so that should you need help in the future that we can not come to your aid and accuse you of fraud instead. Following your logic one would not report sighting a criminal being chased by the police. I suppose if the police can't see them, murders and rapists should be allowed to go about their business and ordinary citizens should not get involved. I happen to know Pat and am familiar with the facts of this case and personally am highly offended by your post, not that you would give a sh*%.

Re: ICW "Pirates". Have you Seen?
As a stowaway member of the Primadona and now at loose on the high seas with just a dingy and a cell phone I insist on someone giving me a boat, preferably a cataraman before my cell signal runs out. Make sure it also has solar and a fishing poll, as I am hungry and so is my cell phone.

++1 to everyone after #245. Newt, a double lol to you. Jasonk, you should be ashamed of yourself. Ever heard the saying "You are your brothers keeper"? Maybe you should move that large piece of metal away from the left side of your moral compass.

I'll pass you the vinegar and try the rum. But I love the quote. If the ocean wasn't bloody scary, why would we love/hate her so?

Re: ICW "Pirates". Have you Seen?
OK, enough of the funny stuff. According to the Tags lets get back to fighting the Oriental French pirates on the ICW. My Primadonna (er Admiral) has agreed to come along....
Chaaarge! I will get you with one of my oars!
(Sorry SC for the thread drift- the wind is blowing me out to see and the signal is getting weaker)

Re: ICW "Pirates". Have you Seen?
I hope it won't cost too much to deal with the boat and any resulting damage if it's left aground.
It is pretty glorious to see karma in action. Now if only it inspired them to change their ways...
Trying to avoid the bahamas entry fee (if that is what they did) is stupid, especially since they scammed that guy out of over 2 grand and had some cash on them.

Re: ICW "Pirates". Have you Seen?
If this thread has crept all the way around to blaming the victim, then certainly we can creeeep just a little more.....just a quick aside.
I just saw this in HappyMdRSailor's post and it brought a smile because it totally got me, I read the first line without glancing at the second and was expecting something SO much more serious...though I can't argue with its truth just as Happy typed it!

I was unaware that I was in such morally flawless company.
OK. Let fly with the rocks.
