How to find others planning to retire and see the world

Now that I'm in my sixties, I am beginning to think about fulfilling my lifetime dream of retiring and sailing off to see the world while still able. However I am single so I am looking for another person or a couple who have similar plans: a long-term ocean voyage with no planned time limit.

The problems with the normal crewing sites seem to be that they cater for short trips - an ARC or a voyage of a few months. Does anybody have any idea of how one would find a skipper and boat that is planning a long-term retirement trip? Are there any boat/crew sites that are particularly useful for such a trip?

Re: How to find others planning to retire and see the world

Welcome.

Try findacrew.net but you could go to dating sites such as POF and find a mate (means losing your "single" status) or for more urgent needs, go to Tinder.

Hope you find your Waterloo...

:-)
