How to find Mooring Locations?

Sorry if this is rudimentary, but while plotting out my inaugural sail from Dania Beach FL to West Palm Bch... I can't seem to find any mooring locations. Even those I pass exiting the inlet, don't seem to be on a map anywhere.
They don't show up on Garmin blue water, active captain, etc.

So, where can find a map of mooring buoys ?

Nick

Re: How to find mooring locations?

There are none. Also, no anchorages. You have to get inside on the ICW to anchor (no mooring locations I know of).

Take the Lake Worth inlet at West Palm Beach, and there are a number of anchorages near the inlet.

Re: How to find mooring locations?

Thanx all. Bad news all around... Looks like I have to make the trip in one leg. I was planning to depart around 9:30am today, but had better wait. I will have to get out by 7am tomorrow

Re: How to find mooring locations?

Just south of Palm Beach inlet is a mooring field you can anchor in and around. The moorings are private but many anchor just south across from Peanut island or about a mile firther south past the mooring field near Rybovich marina.

Re: How to find mooring locations?

And the term "private mooring" in FL is technically a euphemism for squatter.

Re: How to find mooring locations?

BTW, I'm looking for someone to squat on my "private mooring" in St Augustine this winter when I'm in the Bahamas or else I need to buy another boat. It's shallow about 2.5' at low water.

Call it what you will, but it is a fairly large mooring field with moorings maintained by the boat owners who have been there for years. A few new moorings go in each year. The city/county does not want to maintain it.
My point was to describe the area where most people anchor.
