How Far Can You Plan on Sailing in a Day?

Thank you, I like the idea of a 30 hour passage the first day, yea it's long day but it will give me some extra time to try to find a better weather window. I will have to schedule this trip as I have 4 peoples schedules to consider and will have to pull this off over a total of 8 days but everyday I can make up gives me a bit more fudge factor. I enjoy sailing at night and would love to make this trip "under the stars" but being as I'm a newbie wouldn't I expect to have less wind at night?

We were able to sail up to 55 Nm in a similar boat, max, 10-12 hours of sailing per day. That was tropics. Michigan has long days you may make way more.
