Well, let me tell you a little story. So much for the southerlies. We tacked out of Wellington into a SE, the
wind backed to the east as we got out so we tacked over to Palliser then the
wind backed to the NE and we tacked ALL THE WAY to East Cape. Had a gale warning for East Cape but ended up as about 5-10 knots as we went round, then freshened for a brilliant run to Colville with the #1 poled out. Got into the big smoke a bit before midnight last night a day later than expected with a lot of drying out to do and a few
deck leaks to fix. Very hot today and the (free) wireless internet here is like a rocket ship, so fast it scares me. No rain yet. I could almost get to like the place, mainly because we don't have to drive anywhere. Live on the
boat, catch the
ferry to
work, 2 minute walk then jump on another
boat to go sailing for a living.
Oh yeah, had an awesome eggs benedict with smoked salmon for breakfast at Devonport.
Jealous yet???
