help recommision old furuno 1621 ? radar

I have an old furuno 1621 ? Radar.

Not been used for 15 years. Radome was left outside but display was stored.

What do i need to do before i power it up to see if it works ?

E.g. open the radome and clean inside ?

If the Radome is intact it'll be clean inside. They're pretty well sealed.

I would personally just plug in the display and power it up to see if it even recognizes the antenna before going up the mast. Let it go through the warm up countdown, then transmit.

What Sailmonkey said. But if you want, you could open it up and check for obvious corrosion and verify that the antenna array rotates with only light resistance. My guess is it will work just fine.
