Help Identifying a Sailboat

I have been unable to identify my uncle's sailboat from Chicago, shown on Lake Michigan sometime during the late 70s or 80s. Family members were unable to provide any additional information and after spending many hours trying to identify it online, thought it might help to post here. Any ideas?

Much appreciated.

I believe that is a Venture 24 or Venture 21, kinda hard to tell, they both look very similar. My bet is on the 24.

I agree. It's a Venture, my guess on the size would be the 24 also.

Venture 222 pop top or Venture 22 as previously mentioned
Aquarius 21 looks similar but the cabin top is higher than the venture.

Re: Help Identifying a Sailboat

The picture shows a fractional rig
The Venture 22's are masthead
So probably a Venture 24 or Mcgregor 24 which I believe are the same

My first thought as well, Venture or McGreggor 24

Re: Help Identifying a Sailboat

My son and I bought an old sailboat last fall that looks very close to the same, our registration card says it is a 1969 McGregor 25, I will try to remember to post some pictures when we have the rigging back up.
