Haulout fees..

Silly question time.....

I know it's a bit like asking how long is a piece of string but can I ask for ball park figures for hauling out a 46 foot Cat and looking after it for 6 months, anywhere from southern Florida down the Bahamas and the Caribbean....

Thanks

Re: Haulout fees..

Has nobody had their boat taken out the water, just wondered, roughly, how much it cost???

Cheers

Re: Haulout fees..

Thanks, I did find some with rates but they tended to be the more salubrious places so wondered what sort of price ranges there were...

Re: Haulout fees..

Here is some pricing for a yard just inside the Chesapeake Bay, at the end of your sail from UK. Max beam about 25 ft 6-8 inches

AFAIK, your storage through March would be free.

Re: Haulout fees..

You can call boat yards to get an exact amount. I checked on a 35' sailboat in Deltaville Va. and ballpark was $250 which included a subsequent launch. I did not ask when/if the subsequent launch expired.

The width of ur cat will be a factor in finding a lift.

Re: Haulout fees..

Marathon Boat Yard, Marathon in the Florida Keys hauls catamarans. You'd need to check with them for haul-out and storage costs. We left our boat there for hurricane season & no place is perfect, but it was satisfactory. Good luck!
