Haul out yards,Florida

This is the second time I have used the
Catamaran Haul out yard in Key Largo and
It's the last (unless the yacht owner is a henchman
Of this guy )
First time was just before IRMA,hauled for
Two weeks to do a bottom job and prop
Replacement,.
The yard was quite full when the Hurricane
Came through a week after I was pulled out,my
Boat,along with a few others that remained in
One piece were trapped at the top end of the
Yard and unable to be launched for several
Months,,owner wouldn't let any of the boats
Be moved privately..
One would think in this situation,an allowance
Would be made and storage charges reduced
To a minimum,,,NO,not the case,if anything they
Were inflated.I finally got out of there vowing
To never return..
Three years later,at owners request, I returned
To the yard much to my chagrin, talked things
Over with yard owner,thought I read every line
On Agreement (Apparently not ) and hauled
The boat for a quick bottom job,Prop replace.
Just talked to the yard owner who now informs
Me that EVERYTHING that is replaced on the
Boat,MUST be supplied by him,, including the
New Prop ,Seals ,Oil ,zinc's etc that I already
Had on the boat...
Ok,,Anti fouling purchase I can agree with but
These other add on's are totally rediculous.
We are out of here a week earlier than
Forecast,,being ripped off is one thing,being
Reamed,another.
If you have no choice but to use this yard,ok,go
For it but check every line on that agreement if
You do AND even then,I promise you,your bill
Is going to be a lot more than expected.
Oh,one more thing,if you are working on your
Own boat,you have to stop at 17:00 hours in
The afternoon.
