Had a Good Sail Off of Cape Canaveral [Pics + Video]

I posted before about my journey bringing my 35 year old sailboat, Windsong, around from West to East Florida. You can check out the beginning of that journey here: http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ead-37257.html

Now that it is finally home, I've been having some fun with it and figured I'd share some pics. We left Port Canaveral in the morning, sailed South almost to Satellite Beach and then back to the inlet by the evening. It was a great sail in brisk 15-20 knot winds out of the Northeast and 4-6 foot choppy seas. Windsong cut through the chop well and I thought the ride was extremely comfortable, 3 out of 6 crew members thought otherwise as their lunches were returned to the ocean soon after setting sail.

Sails up! Here is a video from the bowsprint. It doesn't really capture how crazy of a ride it is up there, but its cool nonetheless.

Looked like a great ride in the video ... almost no heel, smooth water, all the sails drawing.

Oh well, we launch Saturday. And if there's enough water to get out of our bay, I might get to sail some day soon myself.
