Sometimes we all need an inspiring story of great seamanship. I hope you'all don't mind this (probably is the wrong forum).
Two of my former crew members, Phil and Karen Tenney, who have already circumnavigated on their Tayanna 52 Tehani-Li, just completed a 59 day passage
. They were going to sell their boat
, but no takers (maybe covid?) so they changed their minds, went through the canal
a 2nd time and sailed Tehani-Li home, the fastest way they knew, direct, 2 handed, non-stop (almost, they put into New Cal
I loved these guys when they crewed for me on Wings, both terrific sailors, and Phil is a great boat builder
. Their reports on YIT (https://www.yit.nz/yacht/tehani-li
) are fantastic reading: no You-Tube self promotion, just pure sailing on a great blue water
boat. Pick up their departure on YIT on August 7, and read about their landfall on September 29.
