Re: Great Ol' videos of beautiful ol' boats

Thanks Don. I'd really love to watch these videos but my wireless broadband costs me about USD $38 for only 5GB. That's the going rate for Australias top carrier ( Telstra, national carrier, best coverage).
If I watch videos my data usage goes through the roof.
But thanks for the offer. I suspect in a previous life I was on a tall ship rounding the great capes. Or at least like Lieutenant Dan, up the mast on a Louisiana (?) fishin' boat.
Saw a slightly ageing "Gump" on the Graham Norton (?) show the other night.
Hanks did an impersonation of Gump's..."everywhere I went I was runniinngggg". Loved it!
Gotta love Hanks. (Green Mile !...not sorry 'bout thread drift).

Re: Great Ol' videos of beautiful ol' boats

For you younger folks who haven't seen it, here is a good one to rent for a Christmas movie for the kids. A little sad for the young ones maybe, but I personally especially like the sailing scenes... real Gloucester schooners there

Re: Great Ol' videos of beautiful ol' boats

My Lady Friend and I just sponsered Captains Courageous for our monthly free movie. I have not seen it in over a half century, but I remember it as a great movie. We are going to invite the local Sea Scouts and both of our local sailing clubs. Seeing the clip you just posted made me realize that I had made a good choice. We wont get to see it until April, but now I really am looking forward to it. Thanks for starting this thread. _____Grant.
