Grand Bahama YC

Found a great deal here in Lucaya at GBYC, they just reopened 4 months ago. $107/month and $10/day mandatory water. Electricity optional at .60/kw metered. The kicker is the days don't have to be consecutive! You can use up the rest in Feb. or March. Place is really clean and quiet! Great wifi included. We're going to hang here a bit and do some small jobs while these frequent northerner's blow through every 3-5 days it seems. You can bypass West End and enter Customs here in Lucaya.

Re: Grand Bahama YC

Ten bucks a day water kind of high. But the $107 per month dockage is cheaper than two days' dockage in most marinas. Sounds like a good deal.

What size boat are we talking about? Do you have a link to the special as I can see $1 per foot and I presume this is per day.

Re: Grand Bahama YC

Their charging everyone the same per ft. I'm 37ft, there's an Island Packet 44, Wauquiez 43, Hunter mid 40's , a few others and it's the same deal regardless of length. The docks a cement with wooden walkways down the centre. Really nice with plastic poles on the outside of the pilings. I'll get the phone number to here in the morning and post it. The dockmaster is Fabian. He seems to be the one in charge of the deal. Don't think it's posted as such. Nice showers and hot water which seemed rare in the Abacos for the last few years. You can run out Belle Channel in your dingy and go to the beautiful beaches which are well protected in all the NW, N and NE winds.
