River Dunes near Oriental has had very inexpensive dockage and would be much warmer than the Chesapeake. They have two good loaner cars and it's about a 15 minute drive into Oriental.

We just left Chesapeake Boat Works in Deltaville, VA very happy customers. Inexpensive live aboard option on the hard, loaner car, honest and fair owners who will work with you to reduce costs, etc, etc.

westland marina in titusville florida. if you need to do serious out of water work you can do most anything at this yard. there are no marine stores nearby but everyone there just orders stuff online and has it shipped to the marina. shopping and restaraunts in walking distance.
