Going rate for delivery - Insurance Claim

I was hit in the marina and have an insurance claim to file.

I'm just wondering what the going rate would be to do a delivery.

17 hours total one way for all people (2 people 8hrs ea + 1person 1hr) - drive to marina, deliver boat, arrange (3rd person) pick up at delivery address then reverse on the return delivery 5 days later.

105 litres fuel for cars and boat - assuming motoring all the way.

in europe you would pay euro 250+100 per day plus expenses ie fuel ,food and tranfers.

Out of curiosity... The "250+100," is that 250 for the skipper, plus 100 for the crew?

in the med that would be for a commercialy endorsed skipper and competent crew per day ie 350 euros,rum would be extra, at the owners discression generally after dinner at a nice resturant during debrief,or before,after,and during

Sharon and I charge $450/day for both of us + all expenses.

PS. we only deliver powerboats as they don't seem to mind paying.

Delivery quotes usually are for MOVING THE BOAT and moving the boat only. It sounds like you want ground transport for your crew to be included as well. So many hours for this person and so many for that...Surely, that's ground transport and either you or the delivery crew arrange that for yourselves.

I am giving a quotation to my insurance company to move the boat to have it pulled out to fix the boat where old mate ricochet bounced off the front of it.

I was told to charge to move it, I'm doing it my self and one other.

I'm just after a fair price, if I charged an hourly rate they would laugh at me.

You could bill a mileage rate + travel expense's etc for the trip and getting home... for example if 500nm at $4AUS for both of you that would be $2000AUS.
Mind.. from what I heard when I was in Oz the local delivery skippers are not cheap.. double my rate is what I was told..

Wouldn’t the insurance company want to see evidence of your expenses? I would be surprised if they were willing to pay you (beyond out of pocket expenses) to move your own boat.
