Force 10 Stove thermocouple delete

This stove is annoying it takes forever sometimes to stay lit. I would like to delete this thermocouple feature so I don't have to deal with this anymore.

Can this be done easily?
I don't care that it's a safety feature

Re: Force 10 Stove thermocouple delete

Easier and much safer to just replace with new thermocouples. Working properly should only take 5 seconds or less to engage with burner lit. It is a pretty important safety item IMO. That said, I don't know if possible to delete unless replacing entire valve assemblies.

Terrible idea, just replace the thermocouple. Otherwise you’re going to need to replace the gas valves

If you remove the thermocouple then you won't have to deal with it for long!! Because if the flame blows out & the gas gets into the bilges then you won't be around to worry about it.

Re: Force 10 Stove thermocouple delete

Getting replacement thermocouple and solenoid for older Force 10 stoves can be tough. They are back ordered with no delivery date.

Both the solenoid and thermocouple need to be functioning for the safety feature to work.

Just about any thermocouple will work, I have generic ones off Amazon on mine.
Usually the problem is the grounding (exterior) of the nut at the burner, just tighten it a bit. They are cheap and very important.

Got a link? I'd love to find a third party for the solenoid too.

The whole thing including the valve is only $21.00

That link takes me to a page with a long list of thermocouple assemblies. Do you know one that fits the Force 10?
