Force 10 stove

Looking for suggestions:
My Force 10 Stove has recently started act up. I get a solid 10-12 minutes of great flame and then the flame starts to die down and eventually dies out.

Initially, I thought I was out of propane so I replaced with a new tank (old tank had expired). I am still getting the same effect. I hold the knobs in for 20 seconds or so as the manual recommends.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,
Paul.

Re: Force 10 stove

Sounds like you are losing pressure. It may be the solenoid closing after it pressures the line.
I just had to replace ours, they are available on Amazon and easy to change.
Otherwise, I would look at the force 10 manual and see if it might be the thermocouple. I have only dealt with them on the range top, but again it's an easy fix once you source the part.

Thanks Chris. I will check that out. Stupid question: are these Force 10 solenoids or are all solenoids created equal? Lol

Thanks again!

Re: Force 10 stove

Solenoids are what opens the gas line from the tank to the stove. They're mounted on the gas supply line to the stove, usually near the propane tank. They are not stove-specific. Since solenoids are made by a variety of different companies, they are not all created equal. Some are better than others. Don't ask me which. We had problems last year with ours not opening. The marine environment can make them fussy.

That's the solenoid I have.
There are many options, depending on location, power source, ect.
