Flying flags

Can some one out there point me to where I can learn what flags I am supposed to fly when entering a new port? I think I should be flying the yellow flag, but I'm not even sure of that. I am willing to learn, don't know where to start. mb

will take you to a bunch. Select "Flag Etiquette" and it will give you the basic info on the "Q" flag.
Cruising guides as well as several of the basic reference books will give you more info. Enjoy !
