Famous Russian sailor Fedor Konyukhov aims to become the first person to sail solo around Antarctica. Starting in January 2008 from Albany, Western Australia, the 56 year-old yachtsman will endeavor to sail his 27 metre (88') yacht Trading Network along a race track around Antarctica.

Nothing at all against this guy, who sounds like a hell of a sailor, but doesn't everyone who
sails solo around the world, sail around Antarctia at the same time? I must be missing something.
I mean if you substituted
Greenland for Antarctica, then I could see calling it a first. What am I missing this time? You know Americans and their problems with geography.
