"La Mer" by French Composer Charles Trenet. The English version is called "Beyond the Sea" sung by Bobby Darin and George Benson has it on his 20/20 album.

Beautiful romantic song about sailin and finding love. I lost my first wife of 31 years and had to go sailin again. Now after seven years with my new love, I need not go sailin again ...except in my sailboat.

Interesting Jimmy Buffet choice, when he has so many sailing related songs. I’d go with Son of a Son of a Sailor, or A Pirate Looks at Forty. Funny to think how far in the future 40 was when I first heard it. Looking from the other side now.

As much as I love The Beach Boys rendition, I put together a Sloop John B playlist and there are some really interesting covers out there. You do need to search for it under several different names. I found a historical recording of the original Jamaican song. I like it on steel drums. For a real trip, check out the version by Catch-22.

And, based on your list, this may not be your regular type of music, but I highly recommend Sea Symphony, by Vaughn Williams.
