We get a lot of threads on what went wrong, and how to fix it. It seems every time I go out on the
water, at least one thing breaks, or requires action to avoid calamity.
But last weekend, The only problem I had was finding a
ramp deep enough to launch. Once I found one, and got the
boat in the
water, every thing went smoothly.
The
sails went up no problems. The
rigging worked. I spent the weekend sailing around the bay. Anchored in a quiet corner with a small danforth that came with the
boat. It didn't drag. Was easy to pull up.
Spent the next
day sailing, stinkpotters, gave me plenty of room. The area waterways were packed solid, you could almost walk across the lake by hopping from boat to boat. No one cut me off, or was rude.
We did get waked a couple of times, but the boat rocked a great deal less than what I expected from a small
trailer boat.
The fractional rig tacks like a dream, and
sails smoothly to
wind. All in all a great weekend.
